About the Bias and Content Committee Recruitment Program

The Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation (OCTP) and the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson are seeking exemplary educators to participate in test review conferences for the Certification Examinations for Oklahoma Educators™ (CEOE™) in the following areas:

 

2008–2009 Development

  • Computer Science
  • Driver/Safety Education
  • Middle Level Science
  • Oklahoma Professional Teaching Examination (OPTE) PK–8
  • Oklahoma Professional Teaching Examination (OPTE) 6–12
  • Technology Education
Applications for CEOE fields not listed and for the Bias Review Committee will also be accepted.
We are seeking educators who are:
  • representative of all areas and populations in the state.
  • currently licensed public school educators and/or college faculty members who are exemplary in their subject areas.
You are qualified if you are:
  • an experienced public school teacher or administrator licensed and currently working in one or more of the fields listed above; or
  • a new teacher or administrator with 1 to 5 years of teaching experience; or
  • a National Board Certified Teacher®; or
  • a college faculty member teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level in one or more of the fields listed above.
Participants will:
  • receive substitute reimbursement for their school district if they are public school teachers.
  • be asked to make a one- to two-day commitment.
  • be reimbursed for their travel and meal expenses.
  • be provided with hotel accommodations if necessary.
